I run a small and unique Italian Homestay. I am the only teacher and I am helped by my traditional Italian family. I obtained a Master Degree from the University of Ca Foscari(Venice) in Teaching and Promoting Italian language and culture to foreign students but I also have a BA in Linguistic Studies (UK) and a BA in Letter Moderne. I speak a total of six languages.
My Homestay will offer you the chance of a superb experience as you will be studying the language in an environment, just outside Rome, that is pleasantly quiet and beautiful. Velletri is situated only38 km from the city center of Rome and it is in the heart of Castelli Romani. Surrounded by hills and exquisite countryside, our town is only 23 km to the coast of Anzio and 10 minutes by car from Castelgandolfo(the Pope’s Summer Residence) and lakeNemi. Your Homestay (full board- except flights) will give you the opportunity of full immersion in the language,culture, traditions and cuisine of Italy at no extra cost.The Villa is situated in5000sqm of land which consists of vineyards, gardens, an orchard with fruit trees of many types and olive trees. The air in our area, has been defined by prominent German scientists as the best in Europe for relaxing, owing to its proximity to the sea and the mountains. If you like to relax or sunbathe there is plenty of space. A table-tennis table and a bowls court(campo di bocce) will be available to our guests. There is an outdoor swimming pool just 2 km away and we will be only too happy to give you a lift there.
You will be living either in our Villa, or in a near by guest house, sharing every moment of Italian life, while practising and learning the language at your level. Rooms available will be spacious single rooms or(on request) you can have a double room if you are coming with your partner. En suite rooms are available at the nearby guest house.
We run courses throughout the year at 6 different levels and your class will have a maximum of 5 students at your same level:Beginners, Post-beginners. Low Intermediate, Intermediate,Upper Intermediate and Advanced. For the more Advanced students we also run courses on Italian cinema, culture and society. Seniors courses(50+) are also available.
Courses can be attended for 7 or 10 days and prices will be given on request. For less than the cost of B & B only in a 3-star hotel in Rome city center, we include in the price:
- Airport transfers
- Accommodation in a single room
- Three meals per day with drinks included(no spirits)
- Three hours of Italian tuition daily
- Italian cookery lessons
- At least 6 excursions with entrance to selected museums and sites included
- Free Wi-Fi connection
- A light restaurant meal (during a 10-days course only)
Flights are not included in the price.
We will not accept any responsibility for items of any kind(‘phones, devices,money etc.) lost on our premises or at the guest house and we advise you, please, to take a travel insurance before arriving in Italy to cover you fully. The nearest airports are Ciampino(20 min) and Fiumicino (40 min)
